    Our Rooms

We have consulting rooms upstairs which can be accessed either via a staircase or a disability friendly lift. If required, we also have a wheelchair ramp. Please advise reception if you require this. If possible, we ask you to leave your pram downstairs in the waiting room during the consultation.

We will provide quality books and toys to keep your children entertained in our waiting and consulting rooms. We will also have a selection of reference books for parents to browse. If your children would like to provide some artwork for our waiting room walls, this is strongly encouraged!

We ask for no food or snacks to be consumed on the premises apart from water, breast milk or formula. This is to avoid allergy risk and significant costs involved with spillage/soiling.

Advise practice staff or your doctor if you feel it is important to limit your child’s exposure to some of the discussions with your doctor. Bring another adult relative or friend who will be able to sit with your child in the waiting room for some of the time. Staff will ensure your child feels welcome.

    Dog Onsite (Missy)

Whilst not formally a trained ‘therapy dog’, Missy is very empathetic and calm cavoodle. She is excited to meet everyone, and may even give a few licks, but would NEVER bite!

Missy never ventures too far away from Dr Emma Magrath, but those visiting other doctors may see her on the stairs or in the waiting room.

We understand that for some children, dogs can be frightening. So far Missy has won over a number of hesitant kids, with her calmness and cuteness.

Please let our reception team know if you have any concerns about Missy being present or anything we can do to avoid any anxiety or distress for your child.
