Cancellations List
When a family cancels an appointment, this opening can then be offered to a child on our Cancellation List but only if sufficient notice is given.
Families on the Cancellation List will be contacted if:
- your paediatrician/allied health provider requests an earlier appointment for the patient
- an appointment has had to be booked at a later date than is ideal
Appointments are initially offered by SMS. Occasionally we phone a family if we need to fill an appointment at short notice.
Cancellations / Non-attendance
To avoid missing your appointment carefully read the appointment letter and schedule in your diary.
As a courtesy an SMS reminder will be sent 6 days before the appointment. If you wish to cancel or reschedule this would be the best time to do so to avoid any cancellation fees.
Please reply to the SMS reminder with “Y” to confirm the appointment or “N” to cancel the appointment.
If you reply “N” it is the family's responsibility to call to reschedule the appointment
If the appointment is not cancelled/rescheduled within two clear business days before the appointment as per the SMS, your deposit will be converted to a non-attendance fee, i.e., will not be refunded.
If the appointments cancelled/rescheduled two business days before the appointment, your deposit will be used for any future appointments. This deposit will not be refunded.
If the appointment is not attended your deposit will be converted to a non-attendance fee (DNA) and will not be refunded.
Fees are $150 for new appointments and $100 for review appointments.
If there is no reply 48 hours prior to the appointment and reception staff have been unable to confirm your attendance, the appointment will be cancelled and offered to another family.
