Ascot Vale Paediatrics has now reached patient capacity. We anticipate reviewing this decision in mid-2026.
To ensure we can continue providing high-quality care to our current patients, we have made the difficult decision to close our books to new paediatric behavioural and developmental referrals from Friday 21 November 2025. Sibling referrals of existing patients will be triaged for acceptance.
If your paediatric referral was received by close of business Friday 21 November 2025, we will endeavour to respond within 2-3 weeks. If the matter is urgent, your GP is welcome to contact our clinic directly.
We will continue to accept and triage general medical and baby referrals (under 12 months), with appointments scheduled according to clinical urgency.
Our allied health team (including Maternal Child Health Nurse Practitioner, Dietetics, Physiotherapy, Psychology, Neuropsychology, Cardiology, Pelvic Health Physiotherapist, OT, Counselling and Speech Pathology) remains open for referrals and appointments.
For accepted developmental and behavioural referrals, the current wait time is approximately 6-8 months.
We understand these limitations may be challenging for families, and we appreciate your understanding as we work to ensure safe and timely appointments for those already under our care.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact our office.
